Drew Burton
, Director of Logistics, has been working at Gill St. Bernard’s School since 2016 as a history teacher, advisor, and coach.  In 2015 and 2016, Drew served as a faculty member and boys’ housemaster for Summer Scholars.  He began his professional experiences as a Teach For America corps member working in Baltimore City.  Drew earned his B.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park, his M.A.T from Johns Hopkins University, and his M.A.ED from Seton Hall University.  Drew also works as an adjunct professor for Johns Hopkins School of Education.  He and his wife Amanda reside in Long Valley, New Jersey with their two children—Cruz and Everett.  Email Drew at aburton@lawrenceville.org.




Gina Colati, Program Coordinator, is responsible for Summer Scholars program operations including admissions, communications and summer logistics. Gina is originally from the  Lawrenceville area and earned her B.S. at The College of New Jersey. She earned her MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management and spent five years working in Medical School Admissions prior to joining the Summer Scholars team.  Gina and her husband live in Philadelphia with their two dogs, Kally and Bella.   Email Gina at gcolati@lawrenceville.org.





Maria Lamattina, Director of Academics, has played a variety of roles in K-12 school settings. Dr. Lamattina has also taught undergraduate writing and management courses and held managerial roles in corporate leadership development functions. Maria earned her EdD. from Teachers College (Columbia University), her M.S. from the Bank Street Graduate School of Education, and her B.A. from NYU.  In addition to co-authoring articles and acting as a peer reviewer for academic journals, Maria has personally provided literacy coaching and other  professional development for K-12 teachers and managed such programs across the country. Bernadette TeeleyExecutive Director, has been at the Lawrenceville School since 2011 where she is a member of the English faculty, housemaster, and coach. She served as Director of Academics for Summer Scholars in 2016. Prior to arriving at Lawrenceville, she led a non-profit organization and worked in policy research for the Educational Testing Service (ETS) in Princeton, NJ. Bernadette has a B.A. from the University of Dayton and an M.A. from the University of Michigan. Jason VonWachenfeldt, Director of Students, has been working at Lawrenceville since 2014 where he serves as a housemaster, chair of the Interdisciplinary Studies Program, religion and philosophy teacher, and coach. He grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, IL, before earning his B.A. from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Belton, TX), his M.A. from Union Theological Seminary (New York, NY), and his Ph.D. from Georgetown University (Washington, DC). He has professionally worked with students over the past fifteen years as a therapist (ABA), camp counselor, youth worker, tutor, teacher, and residence director.
