It wouldn’t be summer without fun activities to balance out the day!

The Prefects are busy throughout the day planning the noon-time House competitions and the afternoon activities program for boarding students.  The Houses also organize their own entertainment, which may include bonfires, shopping trips, and seeing a movie.

Activity Time (Afternoon):  Along with time for required classes and study hall, days are structured to include recreation.   Some of the most popular afternoon activities include:

  • Basketball
  • Soccer
  • Volleyball
  • Softball
  • Wiffleball
  • Ultimate Frisbee
  • Tennis
  • Flag football
  • Tie dye/Crafts
  • Painting
  • Golf
  • Lane Swimming
  • Ropes/Adventure

Evening Activities:  At the end of each busy day, our entire residential community of students and faculty will gather to enjoy an evening activity.  Evening activities are sacred times during the day when students have the opportunity and the outlet to connect with their peers and teachers in a new way.  Many of these activities allow students to act free spirited and silly, with little inhibition, to step out of their comfort zone and really bond with friends around them.  It is also an opportunity for faculty and administration to see their students in a very different light than their classes and programs too!  Some of the more popular evening activities will include:

  • Scavenger hunts
  • Game Shows
  • Athletic Competitions
  • Talent Shows/Performances
  • Dances/Socials
  • Carnivals
  • Reality TV Competitions
  • …and more!

In addition, weekend activities may include:

  • A trip to Philadelphia, the birthplace of American democracy, where students will have the opportunity to discover the history of the American Revolution and, in the evening, take in sporting event
  • A trip to the New Jersey Shore’s beautiful beaches
  • A trip to an amusement park
  • Excursions to the nearby town of Princeton, home to one of America’s oldest and most prestigious University

Note: off-campus activities may have additional costs
