Lawrenceville Summer Scholars is a premier, unique, three-week program for sixth- through tenth-grade students who are eager to experience boarding school life, become more independent, and join a community from around the world. Living in Lawrenceville’s House system and learning through Harkness pedagogy, Scholars engage in creative classes and enriching activities; think critically in and out of the classroom; work and play collaboratively; and discover what it means to live and learn at Lawrenceville.
Come with us! Choose your way through a Summer Scholars adventure and meet your personal Lawrenceville mascot.
With limited enrollment and a low student-to-teacher ratio both on campus and online, each Scholar receives the individual attention they need to flourish. Lawrentians — both the adults and the Scholars — are committed to forming close relationships in and out of the classroom. Summer Scholars teachers recognize that Scholars thrive when they are challenged academically and supported individually.
The Lawrenceville School sits on more than 700 beautiful acres in suburban New Jersey — just a quick trip from Princeton, New York City, and Philadelphia. Woods, farmland, and a lovely downtown area surround Lawrenceville's brick buildings. The School boasts a mix of tradition and technology with a focus on sustainability and community spaces. Scholars have access to state-of-the-art technology and the best teachers in a place that's designed to be a healthy, happy home for all.
