Residential and Day Scholars in rising grades six through nine will take four exciting classes each academic day, including a required humanities class in which all Scholars will work on close reading skills and expository writing utilizing varieties of texts. Scholars remain in their classes for all three weeks of the program.
The school day balances class time and outdoor fun, but in all activities, students will be encouraged to think critically, solve problems, and work collaboratively. Whether your Scholar lives on campus or travels with you every day to and from campus, they will become part of the Lawrenceville Summer Scholars family, enjoying every aspect of House and Harkness, the two pillars of the Lawrenceville School.
Residential Scholars will engage in evening activities and awesome weekend excursions, food trucks and dance parties on campus, and much more. Residentual Scholars will immerse themselves in House life, learn study skills and strategies for meeting and communicating with adults and peers alike, refine life skills such as doing laundry and eating delicious, nutritious food, and understand how the word "community" fits into communal living.
